After completing their job in Shanghai, the last group of 691 medics returned to Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province in east China, on Monday.

According to the provincial health authority, Anhui medics treated a total of 10,303 COVID-19 infected individuals over the course of 53 days.

“We’ve gotten over 100 thank-you letters from individuals of various ages, including English letters from foreigners,” Wang Tianping, deputy chairman of the Anhui medical delegation to Shanghai, stated.
To combat the recent rise of COVID-19 cases, a total of 5,582 medics were dispatched from Anhui to Shanghai.

Shanghai’s city health authority reported 58 confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and 422 local asymptomatic cases on Monday.
