Dua Zehra case: SHC directs intelligence agencies to assist Sindh Police

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Tuesday directed the intellegence agenicies to assist local police officials in ascertaining the location of Dua Zehra.

Zehra, a supposedly teenage girl, went missing on April 16. The police started hunt when a video request by her parents popped up on social media. Initially, the case appeared to be of abduction and as the parents claimed their daughter went missing from the home. However, the case took a shocking turn and it was revealed that the girl tied the knot in Lahore with an individual identified as Zaheer Ahmed.

Sindh Police Inspector General Kamran Fazal said that Zehra is believed to be in Azad Kashmir.

Earlier, Bol News reported that Zehra got married in Lahore with an individual identified as Zaheer Ahmed. As per details, the family with whom the 14-year-old was traced provided a marriage certificate.

The police further added that the investigations are going on in regards to the marriage certificate. Whereas, Dua Zehra’s father said he was unaware of the situation. He said he wasn’t informed by the investigation team of any development in the case.

The police shared that Dua’s mobile was taken into custody and her id’s were thoroughly searched. The officials have claimed to bring her back to her home town any time soon. The girl went missing in Karachi’s Golden Town area in the jurisdiction of Al Falah police station on April 16.
