Last trailer for Stranger Things 4 goes all out

Stranger Things 4 is finally coming out this weekend, after what seems like a lifetime. (Or at least the first section.) If the countless teases and posters over the last several months haven’t piqued your interest, perhaps one last, action-packed trailer will.

Watch the trailer here:

The next, immensely long season will open up with the Hawkins, Indiana people spread over the globe, each coping with their own set of difficulties. Moving to California with the Byers feels like the first true attempt at normalcy Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) will ever have.

Hopper (David Harbour) is alive and well… in a Russian jail that also happens to be home to a demogorgon that is kidnapping inmates. In Hawkins, the other students are gearing up for spring break and the prospect of making new friends in high school.

All groups will eventually be confronted by a new monster in the shape of Dungeons & Dragons villain Vecna, as well as whatever other monsters emerge through the numerous portals to the Upside Down.

Whether or not you’re still a fan of the Duffer Brothers’ sci-fi series, the teaser gives the impression that it’s going to be something different from the first three seasons. Maybe it’s because the cast is all older now, or because they all seem more equipped to cope with the otherworldly lunacy that’s coming their way.

In any case, it appears like one of Netflix’s longest-running programmes is nearing the conclusion of its run. It’s time to check if it lands safely.

Stranger Things 4’s first seven episodes will air on Friday, followed by the last two on July 1.
