A 95-year-old man married an 84-year-old woman he met in a church 23 years ago for the first time.

Julian Moyle proposed to Valerie Williams in February by getting down on one knee. They recently married at the same church where they met, with roughly 40 friends and family members in attendance.

Julian described his first wife, Valerie, as “just incredibly nice and giving you know.”

“I can’t believe that,” Valerie exclaimed.

Julian stated, “The experience of finally getting married at this age was wonderful, and it seemed like a new year.”

The pair stated that they planned to spend their honeymoon in Julian’s birthplace of Australia.

Julian called Valerie’s spouse a “fine gentleman,” while Valerie called him a “fine gentleman.”

Julian arrived in the United Kingdom from Australia in 1954. Between 1970 through 1982, the 95-year-old was the Welsh National Opera’s first soloist. He also performed during his wedding, honoring his passion for opera.
