According to reports, the groom passed out before the main wedding ritual and accidentally removed his wig. As a result, the truth regarding his baldness was disclosed.
Despite the efforts of the bride’s family to persuade her, she refused to marry the groom. The bride refused to budge, so the local police were called in.
The bride’s family said that the wedding cost them approximately INR 500,000. The money was refunded to the groom’s family.
The bride’s uncle was cited as stating, “You can’t expect a marriage to start on a falsehood.”
