President Zelensky: Since the war began, Ukraine has lost almost $0.5 trillion

Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has encouraged international countries to help rebuild the country, despite the fact that Russia’s conflict has already cost Ukraine over $0.5 billion.

According to the report, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made the pertinent statement during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

“We offer the world to set a precedent for rebuilding the country after the war, which will show everyone who dreams of destroying the life of a neighbor that the war doesn’t bring the expected result. I invite you to take part in this reconstruction. The amount of work is enormous. We have more than half a trillion dollars in losses. Tens of thousands of objects were destroyed. We need to rebuild entire cities and entire industries. And we offer a special – historically significant – model of reconstruction. When each of the partner countries or partner cities or partner companies will have the opportunity – historical one – to take patronage over a particular region of Ukraine, city, community or industry,” Zelensky told.

Many countries have already picked a definite course for reconstruction patronage he claims.

“Post-war reconstruction can be quick, efficient, and high-quality thanks to this paradigm of relations.” This will not only attract the top specialists around the globe, such as architects, engineers, builders, developers, and managers. It will also be Europe’s largest potential for economic growth since World War II, according to Zelensky.

The President of Ukraine extended his gratitude to Switzerland for hosting an international conference on Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction in Lugano in July 2022. By the start of the meeting, Zelensky hopes that partner governments and the majority of the world’s largest firms will have put together their submission packages.

According to Zelensky, a precedent of aggressor punishment and investment in a peaceful life is required.

“Russian assets spread across jurisdictions must be located, apprehended or frozen, confiscated, and given to a special fund from which all war victims can get recompense.” This is not an easy task. However, the various aggressors will have no desire to accomplish what Russia has done and continues to do after that. If the attacker loses everything, he will lose all reason to initiate a conflict,” Ukraine’s President emphasized.
