Satender Malik, an Indian wrestler, was banned for life on May 19 after slapping international referee Jabir Singh during the Commonwealth Games trials in New Delhi. Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh reportedly witnessed the incident.
During the scorching heatwave and heatwave in New Delhi, the Indian wrestler got angry and slapped the referee for not having air conditioning in the arena, for which he was banned for life.
“The members of the panchayat will now see WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh Ji on Monday and beg that the life ban be lifted,” Satender told IANS. My life has been ruined. I went over to the referee and yelled, (What did you achieve after wrecking my life?)” in his ear. He became enraged and slapped me, as you can see in the video. He slapped me first. “I never hit him or said anything hurtful to him.”
Satender also shared a video of the incident on Twitter, pleading with Prime Minister Modi to help him save his job.

Satender was leading 3-0 in the final battle of the trials when his opponent Mohit did a ‘take-down’ and threw Satender off the mat for another point. Referee Virender Malik, on the other hand, did not award Mohit two points for the ‘takedown’ and only one point for the pushout.
Mohit subsequently appealed the referee’s judgment, and senior referee Jagbir Singh concluded that Mohit should be awarded three points based on video replays. As a result, the score became 3-all, which it remained until the finish. Mohit was declared the winner since he scored the bout’s final point.
Satender then allegedly slapped Jagbir as he moved across the mat. Satender was then given a lifelong ban by WFI officials.
