According to the details, Pakistan Army and FC Balochistan are providing maximum assistance and they are in contact with headquarters 12 and with the PDMA. As per details from the ISPR, fire is mostly located on mountain tops (10,000 feet above sea level) away from population centres but continues to spread because of hot weather, inaccessible terrain and dry winds.
Pakistan Army said that the nearest village is about 8 to 10 km away from the site of the fire. However, 10 families living in isolated houses have been shifted to the medical relief camp set up by FC Balochistan in Manikhawa.
They added, that FC Wing 2, Army Helicopter and Levies are engaged in firefighting and rescue operations with the local administration. One helicopter is being used to drop water and the other is being used to drop fireballs and fire extinguishing chemicals on fire.
On the other hand, the NDMA has provided 400 fireballs, 200 fire suits, blankets, tents, mats and fire extinguishers through FC Balochistan. The army has also delivered relief goods from Lahore to Zhob.
