ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf central core committee is scheduled to meet today at Peshawar to finalise the date for long march at Islamabad.
The former prime minister Imran Khan is at Peshawar from last two days. Sources privy to the development said that in today’s session Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pervaiz Khattak, Ali Amin Gandapur, Imran Ismail, Shah Farman and other leaders will be present.
A media talk is also scheduled after the core committee meeting where the date of the long march will be announced. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday formed an 11-member coordination committee for its long march toward Islamabad.

PTI Vice-President Shah Mahmood Qureshi will head the committee while Raja Yassir Humayun will serve as its deputy convener. Yasmin Rashid has been appointed as coordinator for the Lahore division while Sadaqat Abbasi will oversee the Rawalpindi division for Islamabad long march.
Faizullah Kamuka has been appointed as coordinator of Faisalabad division, Sibtain Khan as coordinator of Sargodha division, Mohammed Ahmed Chattha as coordinator of Gujranwala division and Rai Hassan Nawaz as coordinator of Sahiwal division.
The PTI official urged every Pakistani to march towards Islamabad in the last week of May to stage protest against the insult of the country.
