LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member and Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has expressed his desire to arrest former prime minister Imran Khan.
Talking to reporters in the Model Town area of Lahore, Rana Sanaullah said that if Imran Khan was kept in jail for three days, his politics would end. He said that he wanted Imran Khan to be kept in the same cell where he was kept.
He added that since it was a coalition government, such decisions cannot be made without the leaders of the coalition parties. He said the nation would be happy if Imran Khan would be kept in jail. He asked to pray for his custody.
Rana Sanaullah said that there was a no-confidence motion against Pakistan Muslim League Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the Punjab Assembly speaker, they should first vote on it and then convene a meeting. However, the institutions should be with Pakistan and not with us, he said.
Regarding the arrest of Shireen Mazari, he cleared the air and said that there was no involvement of the government or anyone else in his arrest, the concerned agency arrested her in accordance with the law.
