Pakistan’s Inam Ahmed came close to securing a key position in the championship at Barber Motor Sports Park with another victory in Round 3 of the IndyPro 2000 series.
American, European, Brazilian and Norwegian drivers are also taking part in the championship which is being held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
In the second qualifying session of Race 2 on Sunday, Inam set a record for the fastest time in the first two sectors but a small mistake in the third and final sector deprived him of the first position of the season.
With an incredible performance, Inam Ahmed finished fourth in the race, his third top-four finish this season. He is now only nine points away from finishing third in the championship.
Expressing his intention and heartfelt wish, Inam said that my next race is in the Racing Capital of the World, I will do my best to hoist the Pakistani flag, the next event is on 13th May at Indiana Police Motor Speedway.
Prize races can be viewed on the YouTube channel of the Indie Pro 2000 series, their previous racing feats include winning the World Karting and the British Formula 3 Championship.
