Zelensky states that his country is willing to trade Russian prisoners for Ukrainian forces who surrendered at the Azovstal steel factory in Mariupol.

He told a Ukrainian news station that the most important thing for him is to save as many people and soldiers as possible.

He stated, “We will bring them home.”

After the last batch of Ukrainian soldiers surrendered, Russia claimed to have gained complete control of the beleaguered city of Mariupol.
