On Friday, heavy rain and hail were seen over western and central Germany, and one man was killed in 81mph storms elsewhere.

A tornado ripped through towns in western Germany; injuring several, according to local police. According to news agency dpa, the German Weather Service confirmed three tornadoes in North Rhine-Westphalia – at Paderborn; adjacent Lippstadt, and on the outskirts of Hoexter.
Roofs were blown off, trees were fallen, and debris was scattered for kilometres.
