People have noticed a man’s odd house in Bethnal Green, London, because it is made of wood on the pavement and has a number and a locking door.

Lukas, a homeless former London Underground worker, says he had to choose between sleeping behind a bin and building a house.
Tower Hamlets Council, which has a 21,000-strong council housing waiting list, has responded by promising to provide him with housing.
