Internationally popular ceramist Sheherezade Alam has died
Sheherezade was an alum of the National College of Arts in Lahore, proceeding to turn into a craftsman in-home at Yale. She was a darling instructor, having been educated at home in NCA, as well as in Turkey at Bilkent University in the city of Ankara.
Sheherezade, brought into the world in 1948, was an expert in her specialty, sharing about her advantage in and love for the medium in 2014, “Mud instructs you. It helps you to take the blows with delights. You should be mindful. In the event that you do a bit and leave it, the earth will forsake you.”
She wedded individual craftsman Zahoor ul Akhlaq in 1971. She moved to Canada following the sad homicide of her better half and their girl, artist Jahan Ara, in 1999. Sheherezade got back to Pakistan in 2007, proceeding to set up the Jahan e Jahanara Center for Traditional Arts for Children in memory of her girl.
A few individuals from the creative local area grieved the deficiency of the acclaimed ceramist and instructor.
We are profoundly disheartened to know about the death of Sheherezade Alam, a huge Pakistani craftsmanship teacher and ceramist.

Sheherezade Alam is an icon and will remain forever in my heart. A true Pakistani visionary and artist who has left her mark in the world of ceramics.
May she happily reunite with her daughter Jahanara, and husband, Zahoor ul Akhlaq, in the heavens.
