Payton Gendron, an 18-year-old white guy, was charged in the racist attack at Tops Friendly Market on Saturday; which left ten people dead and three more injured.

A courtroom spectator yelled “coward” at the 18-year-old white guy charged with the murders of ten people in a racist shooting spree at a Buffalo, New York, supermarket.

During his brief appearance in an Erie County courthouse; Payton Gendron was handcuffed and dressed in an orange jail uniform with a face covering. He was surrounded by a half-dozen sheriff’s deputies.
A grand jury indicted Gendron on Wednesday, according to a prosecutor; though it wasn’t immediately apparent what the charge was or how many counts were mentioned in the complaint.
