As Johnny Depp’s ongoing feud with ex-Amber Heard rages on, the Pirates of the Caribbean producer has suggested that Margot Robbie could be in line to replace Depp in the franchise.
Jerry Bruckheimer recently spoke with The Sunday Times culture magazine about the franchise’s future, which starred Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.
When asked if Depp would return to the Pirates franchise, Bruckheimer responded, “Not at this time… “The future has yet to be determined.”
He also addressed rumours that the Pirates franchise might return with a female lead this time, and appeared to confirm that I, Tonya star Margot is in talks.
