After the police investigation into Partygate was finished; Prime Minister Boris Johnson was told he would face no further consequences, according to No 10.
Mr Johnson’s wife, Carrie, will not face any additional penalties. Last month, they were both punished for breaking Covid restrictions at Mr Johnson’s birthday celebration in Downing Street in June 2020.
The investigation into the lockdown breaches in and around Downing Street has concluded, according to the Metropolitan Police. It resulted in 126 Fixed Penalty Notices being issued for events that occurred on eight different occasions.
According to the force, 83 persons have been issued fines, with 28 of them facing two to five fines.
