On Wednesday morning, Taylor Swift got an honorary doctorate degree from New York University, completing a long-held ambition. she made sure to include a lot of humour and puns in her commencement speech.
For being a “trailblazing and renowned advocate for artists’ rights,” as well as “one of the most prolific and recognised musicians of her time,” the singer was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts. Swift, on the other hand, had a theory about why she’d been invited to the party. Swift began by joking, “I’m 90% sure the reason I’m here is because I have a song called ’22,”referring to the fact that she was speaking to the 2022 graduating class.
