According to the governor of the Sumy district in Ukraine’s northeast near the border, Russian military shelled the area throughout the morning on Tuesday.

Gov. Dmmytro Zhyvytskiy noted in a Telegram post that the heavy shelling has caused fires along the border.
Around 70 explosions were reported in Boyaro-Lezhachi, a town on the border, and five in Esman, another border town. Zhyvytskiy did not provide specifics on what was hit.
