ISLAMABAD: The coalition government has decided to remove Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (rtd) Javed Iqbal from his office.
As per details revealed by the sources, the removal will be done as per the legal and constitutional SOPs.
Notably, the term of the NAB Ordinance 2022 will expire on June 2.

Sources privy to the matter said that if the Senate or the Assembly didn’t extend the amended ordinance than the chairman would be disqualified.
Under the ordinance, the chairman NAB would work till a new chairman is appointed.
According to government sources, the current chairman will likely resign when the ordinance expires.
