After more than 30 years in Russia, McDonald’s said Monday that it will sell its business.
The corporation said in a news statement that its “continued ownership of the business in Russia is no longer tenable, nor is it consistent with McDonald’s values”; citing the conflict in Ukraine and the unstable operating climate in Russia as grounds for departing.
On March 8, McDonald’s announced that it has temporarily shut down and suspended operations in Russia.
