The International Criminal Court’s prosecutor’s office confirmed that 42 investigators will be sent to Ukraine to look into alleged war crimes.

In an interview with ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan, the French publication Le Monde first disclosed the deployment of investigators. “This is my office’s largest deployment ever,” he told the newspaper. “The Dutch government has sent thirty of them, including forensic experts and analysts.”
More details will be revealed Tuesday, according to the prosecutor’s office. The Hague-based court, as well as the United Nations and Ukraine’s prosecutor general’s office, launched investigations into alleged war crimes in late February.
