Pakistani teenage climber Shahrooz Kashif becomes the youngest to summit Lhotse.

A Pakistani climber Shahrooz Kashif has achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the world’s youngest climber to reach the top of the 8516-meter high peak of Lhotse, his team confirmed on Monday.

Lhotse is the fourth highest mountain in the world at 8,516 meters (27,940 ft), after Mount Everest, K2, and Kangchenjunga. The main summit is on the border between Tibet and the Khumbu region of Nepal.

Shahrooz Kashif is the fourth Pakistani to climb at least six peaks above 8,000 meters.

The flamboyant climber Shahrooz Kashif had earlier toured Broadpack, Momt Everest, KT, Manaslu, and Kanchan Junga. Before Shahrooz, Ali Sadpara, Hassan Sadpara, and Sarbaz Ali have also climbed six peaks above 8,000 meters.

Kashif, who is 19 years old, had previously ascended Broad Peak (8,051 meters), the world’s 12th tallest mountain, sources privy to climbing told Bol News.
