Passengers in Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight stunned when the plane’s door opened ahead of landing.
Passengers were on board a flight from Islamabad to Sukkur when the incident happened. The flight PK-631 took off from Islamabad International Airport yesterday.
A female passenger on board the flight reported to media that the emergency door opened when the plane was about to land.
She said, “It all happened when the plane touched down the runway. As the door opened, all the passengers on board started screaming while some of them started making a video with the cell phone as it looked that it was not a serious thing for them.”
She also informed that nobody opened the door. She added, “Thanks to God, it didn’t happen in the mid-air,”
PIA’s spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez reported that authorities have started an inquiry. He said that the ATR door is opened from inside the plane.
He also said that the door had opened when a passenger while standing from his seat, moved the door’s handle.
Facilities in PIA were misused, SC

During the hearing,,Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed remarked that the administration is not having any idea about the four planes of national flag carrier.
The PIA board lawyer said that a detailed report on three planes will soon be submitted in the court.
Earlier, SC had heard the missing aircraft case during which, the PIA officials told the court that the plane was not missing but sold for 103,000 dollars.
