Gun Machine Kelly claims that his current film, Good Mourning, was inspired by a text from his fiancée Megan Fox that he misunderstood for a breakup text. “I wrote the film for her since she was the spiral’s unwitting source.” At the film’s Los Angeles premiere this week, the singer, who also directs and stars in the stoner comedy, told Extra, “She texted me like in the movie.”

“[My character] spirals over a text that he doesn’t really comprehend and he can’t get a hold of her, and that was what was happening to me,” Kelly said to Page Six. MGK, 32, stated that he had previously “wrote so many songs” and used “all these other avenues” to cope with sorrow, and that this time he wanted something different. “I was spinning like crazy.” He said, “I wanted something extra to go with that.” “I was just going to write a movie,” she says.

At the end of the day, though, it was all a massive misunderstanding. “Then Megan and I had a conversation. ‘All of this is in your brain,’ she said. What exactly are you on about?’ “Kelly said. “Then I thought, ‘Well, I wrote this movie, therefore…'” Meanwhile, the Emo Girl singer plays London Clash, a movie star whose life is flipped upside down when he has to choose between pursuing his one true love and landing a life-changing, leading role in a big motion picture. Fox, Dove Cameron, Becky G, Whitney Cummings, and MGK’s close buddy Pete Davidson also feature in the comedy.

MGK was also asked if he and Fox, 35, would ever consider eloping like their mutual friends Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian. According to Page Six, MGK remarked of his own intentions with Fox, “I want to kind of just let, let the world see it as it happens.”
