Jessica Biel discussed how her husband Justin Timberlake proposed in the most surprising way conceivable on Wednesday’s edition of The Late Late Show. Less than a year after being engaged, Biel and Timberlake married on October 19, 2012. “I had no clue that was coming,” Biel said on the show, alongside David Spade.
The Sinner actress said during the interview with ET Canada. She described how the romantic event unfolded as they were snowboarding in Montana on land they owned at the time, “[The proposal] was so nice and so sweet and so unexpected.”
Biel explained, “It was in the middle of the winter. Waist-high snow. We were head-to-toe snowboarding outfits… hats, gloves, everything. All of a sudden, he gets down onto his knees and just sinks into the snow, and then he looks up at me and pulls up this ring and it was the most lovely, surprising, hilarious…”
Meanwhile, talk show presenter James Corden questioned Biel whether she was aware of the proposal, to which she responded that she was not. Corden also mentioned that wearing a ring while snowboarding is not the safest option, and Biel agreed with him.
The couple was recently seen having a date night on the red carpet for the launch of Biel’s new show Candy. On the red carpet, the music sensation walked beside his wife, who looked chummy and even chatted about their 10-year marriage on the carpet, spilling the beans on their long-standing romance.
