With his ill-timed controversial interview with NBC News’ Hoda Kotb, Prince Harry is thought to have destroyed his hopes of winning a spot on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the Queen’s Jubilee in June.
After a covert visit to the Queen in April, the Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle were reportedly given a spot on the balcony with other senior members of the royal family.
Soon after their meeting, though, Harry sat down with Hoda for an exclusive interview, which made headlines due to his statements about ‘protecting’ the Queen, which apparently irritated the family.
Heat magazine claimed a source as stating that Prince Harry’s behaviour had ‘annoyed’ his family.

Not only that, but according to a source, both Harry and Meghan were asked to the balcony, but due to his “controversial and insulting” interview, they were denied the opportunity.
“It appears they’ve blown it again, with Harry rushing out and doing another difficult interview,” a source said. They don’t seem to be able to help themselves.”
“However, if Meghan and Harry are coming over, they would have wanted a spot on the balcony, as it is the major event and would have proven their status as royalty,” the source continued.
