KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sindh lawmakers on Thursday moved a resolution against former president Asif Ali Zardari for his disparging remarks against a serving general in a press conference held yesterday.
Khurram Sherzaman, senior PTI leader, while speaking to the media maintained that Zardari used inappropriate language against a general on the behest of the USA, adding that criticism on armed forces is an intolerable act. “Imported prime minister should dare to bring a resolution against Zardari in NA,” he said.
He said that the economy is in tatters ever since the imported government has taken charge, adding that Zardari is responsible for all crisis in Sindh. “I am brother of a martyr, I cant hear a single word against the forces.” he added. “Imran Khan himself said that armed forces are more important than him. PTI and army are one.”
Zardari should give a written apology before the people of Pakistan, he said. “Zardari said that he will talk to the federal government on provincial issues, he himself is in the federal government. Who he is fooling?”
Zaman said that the MQM-P’s voter should ask the party leaders why did they sell their votes to PPP, adding that today MQM-P has adopted silence on all issues related to Karachi for the sake of ministries.
