Halsey Discusses Her Recent Health Issues

Halsey addressed up about their ongoing health concerns since giving birth to their son, Ender, in July in a series of Instagram posts released on Tuesday, “I know that a lot of you guys have been wondering what’s going on with my health.”

Halsey, 27, stated in response to a TikTok they released on their numerous food sensitivities the same day,  “Obviously my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth. I started getting really, really, really sick.”

In their stories, Halsey wore a cardiac monitor. said “I’ve known I’ve had autoimmune issues for most of my life, especially having endometriosis, but it’s kind of been exacerbated since I had Ender.”

Halsey revealed that they’d been “hospitalized for anaphylaxis a few times,” and that they’d seen  “100,000 doctors”  before being diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a group of hereditary connective tissue disorders; POTS, or postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, a blood-circulation disorder; mast-cell-activation syndrome, in which patients repeatedly experience anaphylactic symptoms; and Sjögren’s.

Halsey further said, “I’m still looking for the root cause of these things.”

Halsey has previously spoken up about her battles with endometriosis, a painful gynaecological illness that has been linked to many miscarriages. Halsey said they’re presently getting therapy and are “very thrilled and extremely certain” they’ll be able to perform in a “healthy” manner on their forthcoming tour for their 2021 album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, which kicks up May 17.
