President Milos Zeman of the Czech Republic has approved 103 Czechs joining Ukraine’s armed forces; this was to aid in the battle against Russian aggression.

Czech citizens are prohibited from serving in foreign armies; this is a criminal punishable by up to five years in prison.
According to the Defense Ministry, 103 Czechs out of a total of 400 have requested for an exception from the ban. The majority of the requests are still being processed by the authorities.
It’s unclear how many Czechs have previously fought alongside Ukrainian forces against Russian invaders.
Prime Minister Petr Fiala has announced through his spokesman that he will sign all requests granted by the Czech authorities.
