KYIV, UKRAINE — Due to the country’s current fuel shortage, driving anywhere in Ukraine requires considerable planning.
Many gas stations along the 340-mile route from Lviv to Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, are closed due to a lack of fuel.
Only trucks, agricultural vehicles, ambulances, police cars, and other important vehicles are serviced at some of the remaining gas stations. Even back then, most gas stations set a restriction on the amount of gas that can be purchased per car.
It can be difficult for ordinary Ukrainians to find gas stations that will serve them. The lineups might be extremely long.
