Shortly after the melee on the US Capitol on January 6, Trump was permanently suspended from Twitter. In making its judgment, Twitter cited “the potential of future instigation of violence.”
While addressing at the Financial Times Future of the Car conference on Tuesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk claimed he would reverse Twitter’s ban on former US President Donald Trump.
Musk, who has described himself as a “free speech absolutist,” just agreed to buy Twitter for $44 billion.
According to Musk, the move to ban Trump from Twitter did not quiet the former president’s voice, but rather elevated his views among conservatives.
