Danish Kaneria, a former Pakistan spinner, has stated that “India is not an adversary,” but that people who want to influence others via religion are.

Former cricketer Shahid Afridi’s anti-India comments prompted the statement.
Kaneria claimed that Afridi tortured him because he was Hindu and pressured him to convert to Islam, but Afridi denied it, adding that Kaneria “is providing interviews to our adversary country that can provoke religious feelings.”
Kaneria took to Twitter to say: “India isn’t our adversary. Those who incite people in the guise of religion are our adversaries.”
He also chastised Afridi, telling him not to speak to any Indian channel if he considers India to be an adversary.
“Don’t ever go to any Indian media station if you believe India to be your adversary,” Kaneria stated in a tweet addressing Afridi.
India is not our enemy. Our enemies are those who instigate people in the name of religion.
If you consider India as your enemy, then don’t ever go to any Indian media channel. @SAfridiOfficial https://t.co/2gssD7RAHe
