According to a family statement, England great Graham Thorpe is ‘seriously unwell’ in hospital

On behalf of Graham Thorpe’s family, the Professional Cricketers’ Association has issued a statement indicating that the former England international has “become dangerously unwell.”

Graham Thorpe, is a former England batter and assistant coach; is “very sick” in hospital, according to the Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA).

Between 1993 and 2005, Thorpe played 100 Test matches for England and spent over a decade coaching the national team. Following the Ashes, he stepped down as assistant coach in February and was named Afghanistan’s head coach in March.

“Graham Thorpe has lately fallen severely unwell; he is currently in hospital getting treatment,” the PCA said in a statement on behalf of Thorpe’s family.
