National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has written several letters to various banks and government departments to obtain records against Farhat Shahzadi better known as Farah Khan and her husband Ahsan Jamil Gujjar, Bol News has learned.

According to a senior NAB official, the Lahore Bureau since launching a probe against Farhat Shahzadi, the close aide of former first lady Bushra Bibi, has been collecting record against the couple on the charges of accumulating wealth beyond their known sources of income and alleged malpractices.
The official said NAB Lahore has written letters to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Board of Revenue Punjab, Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Land Record Authority and various banks to obtain records against the accused.
The NAB official said records related to property, tax returns, wealth statements, bank accounts owned and operated by Farhat Shahzadi and her husband Ahsan Jamil Gujjar has been sought.

To a question, he said after going through the record it will be decided to summon or not the accused couple. He made it clear that the Bureau was investigating the matter purely on merit without any influence.
