In a surprise comedy skit, Prince Harry wears a ‘Girl Dad’ T-shirt for Lili

In a new tongue-in-cheek film promoting his eco-travel company, Travalyst, the Duke of Sussex, 37, who is father to 11-month-old daughter Lilibet, proudly sports a grey T-shirt with the words “Girl Dad.”

Harry is seen jogging through the woods in the tee when he is abruptly attacked by a “Rating Agent” who wants to analyse the environmental effect of his 2018 vacation to New Zealand with wife Meghan Markle, 40, in the promo video published Monday.

Harry is scolded for dropping a candy wrapper during the trip after removing his Airpods, with Kiwi comic Rhys Darby claiming he dropped it on a beach in 2018. Darby, clad in a black and white rating agency shirt, adds, “It could have been a tricky moment, it was windy.”

Watch the video here:

“According to my notes here you were given 12 towels at Tim’s Motor Lodge, and you only used one for the entire stay, so pretty good,” Darby replies to a perplexed Harry, who tries to explain that he never stayed there.

On Monday, Harry appeared on New Zealand’s Mori Television to discuss the serious intent behind the funny routine. Speaking to the cameras, he announced the introduction of a Travalyst trip rating programme, which he thinks would inspire Kiwi vacationers to prioritise sustainability.

This is an easy quiz based on the Maori idea of Tiaki, which is a pledge to care for local people, their environment, and their culture no matter where you go.

Harry says in a statement posted on the Travalyst website:

Lili, who was born in California last year, will be seeing her father’s country for the first time. During the trip, she’ll most likely celebrate her first birthday on June 4th.
