Unknown miscreants blew up a 220 KV power pylon in the Notal area of Nasirabad district on Monday affecting the power supply to the main transmission line.

Police said unknown miscreants planted explosive devices along with the power pylon and blew it up partially damaging the pylon.
“Two out of pillars were blown up in the blast which affected the power supply to the main 220 KV Sibi-Quetta transmission line,” police said.
Soon after the blast police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies rushed to the explosion site and started an investigation.
The QESCO officials confirming the incident said, “The power pylon was partially damaged and after security clearance, the repairing of the pylon would be started.”

Security forces have launched a search operation in the area after the incident to trace out the elements involved in destroying the power pylon. No one has claimed the responsibility for the blast.
