Russian military in Mariupol, Ukraine, held a Victory Day parade to commemorate the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany during World War II.

Hundreds of inhabitants murdered in the current war were carried to a mass grave in the village of Vynohradne; according to a Telegram message by the City Council. According to a post on the social media site by Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to Mariupol’s mayor; Russians in the city conducted a march with “300 metres of stripped rags.”
“On the street beside the column, the enthusiasm and delight are not particularly visible,” he wrote. “The prospect of field cooking and more sets of food attracts people to the square.”
With the exception of the Azovstal steel mill, where the final pocket of resistance is fighting off Russian forces, Russian forces control majority of the city. Andriushchenko stated, “It is impossible to comprehend how our heroes repel attack after attack.”
