In a chat with European Council President Charles Michel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasised the importance of unblocking Ukraine’s ports; this was for wheat exports.

“It is critical to avoid a global food crisis triggered by Russia’s aggressive activities,” Zelenskyy remarked on Telegram.
Michel remarked during a visit to the Black Sea port city of Odesa; he said that the Russian embargo required a worldwide reaction.
He tweeted, “I witnessed silos full of grain, wheat, and corn ready for export.” “Because of the Russian war and blockade of Black Sea ports; this desperately needed food is trapped. Having disastrous effects for the most vulnerable countries.”
