Ukraine completed the second section of the EU membership questionnaire

Ukraine has completed the second part of the questionnaire in order to be designated as a candidate for EU membership.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, posted on his Telegram channel that he had shown European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen a completed paper during a video conversation.

“Via video link, I met with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. I presented the second section of Ukraine’s completed questionnaire for EU candidate status. Thank you for sending us unambiguous messages of support on a route that is vital to us “Ukraine’s President emphasized this.

As previously reported, on April 18, President Zelensky handed over the first portion of the questionnaire to Matti Maasikas, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine. President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen presented the questionnaire to the Ukrainian side during her visit to Kyiv on April 8.

On February 28, 2022, Zelensky signed the application for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union.
