After the Oscars slapgate, Steve Harvey claims he “lost a lot of respect” for Will Smith

Will Smith’s startling slap during the 2022 Oscars ceremony has left an indelible imprint on Hollywood.

Steve Harvey, a prominent comedian and television broadcaster, recently gave his opinion on the tragic Academy Awards event.

Harvey, 65, recently appeared at Georgia State University, where he discussed various problems, including Smith and Rock’s disagreement, according to hotnewhiphop.com. “I’m a Christian, yet I’m quite immature. “I don’t have high-level Christianity,” the TV personality said.

“On a scale of one to ten, I’m a two,” he said. That’s the degree of Christianity I’m comfortable with. T.D. Jakes will turn the other cheek if you slap him. Do you want to smack me?

Jada would have to get out of the way if you sat back in your seat. That describes the kind of Christian I am.”

Harvey even claimed Smith did a “punk move” before stating he “lost a lot of respect” for the Oscar winner.

Following the incident, the Academy formally barred the King Richard actor from attending the Academy’s primary awards programme and other functions for ten years.

After making fun of Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s baldness, the Bad Boys star smacked comedian Chris Rock on stage.
