A $700 million superyacht related to Russian President Vladimir Putin has been seized by Italy. According to Reuters, the yacht had been stationed in Tuscany for repairs since September of last year.

The finance ministry did not name the owner in a statement announcing the seizure decision; simply stating that he had ties to “prominent elements of the Russian government.”
The yacht’s crew might have been ready to depart to sea, based on dockside activity. In March, a group led by imprisoned Putin critic Alexei Navalny produced a dossier claiming to have evidence that the boat belonged to Putin.
