Kylian Mbappe’s mother has refuted reports in France that her son has agreed in principle to stay at Paris Saint-Germain for another three years and has ruled out a move to Real Madrid.
According to Le Parisien, PSG’s Qatari owners have offered Mbappe a salary of 50 million euros ($53 million) per season and a 100 million euro loyalty bonus if he stays.
According to the report, the club offered a two-year contract with a third-year option.
Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari, tweeted that the French World Cup winner had not made up his mind.
“With Paris Saint-Germain (or any other club), there is no agreement in principle,” she stated.
“Discussions about Kylian’s future are continuing in a calm manner to allow him to make the best decision possible while respecting all parties concerned,” she continued.
Mbappe, 23, has made no secret of his ambition to play for Real, who reached the Champions League final this week just days after winning their 35th Spanish championship.
PSG, on the other hand, is fighting to keep hold of its most valuable asset, despite winning Ligue 1 for a record-equaling ninth time and infuriating their die-hard fans with their Champions League last-16 elimination to Real.
