President Zelensky meets with Baltic foreign ministers to discuss support for Ukraine and Russian sanctions

When the Russian invasion began, the Baltic States were among the first to send weaponry and diplomatic support to Ukraine.

According to source, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made the relevant comment during a meeting with Estonian Foreign Affairs Minister Eva-Maria Liimets, Latvian Foreign Affairs Minister Edgars Rinkvis, and Lithuanian Foreign Affairs Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis.

“You are our closest and most reliable friends, because you were the first to support Ukraine from the very beginning of this war, from the very beginning of the threat from the Russian Federation. You supported us with both weapons and your actions in diplomacy. Your people, the population supported us in all aspects and in all directions,” Zelensky told.

The President of Ukraine stated that Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are Ukraine’s finest supporters in the European Union and throughout the world.

“I appreciate this meeting, Ukraine’s support, and this signal to our people,” Zelensky added.

The Baltic Foreign Ministers, for their part, emphasized their support for Ukraine’s European integration ambitions.
