On Friday, May 6, 41 people will return to Ukraine as part of another prisoner swap with Russia.
According to source, this was revealed through Telegram by Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk.
“We’ve done another POW swap. There were 41 persons returning, including 11 women. “There will be 28 military personnel and 13 civilians returning home,” Vereshchuk said.
A rector of a temple run by the Orthodox Church of Ukraine was among those released, she noted.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, 320 citizens were returned to Ukraine on May 2 as a result of nine POW swap initiatives.
More than 1,000 Ukrainian civilians (including more than 500 women) are being held as hostages by the Russian military.
