Swedish embassy has returned to Kyiv

Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Tobias Thyberg declared on Twitter that the Swedish embassy in Ukraine has returned to Kyiv on Wednesday.

Thyberg said, “The embassy team is back where we belong: in Kyiv, supporting Ukraine and its heroic citizens as they defend the freedom of their country and freedom in Europe.”

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine announced last week that diplomatic missions from 27 countries had resumed operations in Kyiv.

The United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, and France have all stated that they intend to reopen their embassies.

If situations allow, the United States’ embassy in Ukraine intends to return to Kyiv by the end of May.

The South Korean ambassador to Ukraine, along with some embassy staff members, arrived in Kyiv on Saturday.

They will begin operations on Monday, according to the South Korean foreign ministry.
