Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former information minister Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday lashed out at the incumbent government for dividing the nation after the country did not celebrate Eid ul Fitr in unison.
Fawad said this in context to separate Eids celebrated in the country.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government had announced Eid ul Fitr on Monday, unlike the rest of Pakistan where it is being marked today.
In this regard, the former minister took to his Twitter account and said, “This time three Eids were celebrated in the country. Although every individual has the right to celebrate religious festivals of their own free will but the state’s institutions and government should be on the same page.”

He added that it was impossible to expect from the coalition government that it will squeeze the divide. He wrote, “Expecting the imported government to shrink the division is impossible.”
Fawad went on to claim, “The crime cabinet itself is widening the religious divide.”
