Prince Charles is said to have put an end to any speculation about Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s royal destiny.

Jo Elvin, the host of MailPlus’ Palace Confidential, discussed the possibilities with Richard Kay.

He began by mentioning the princesses’ rapid surge in public attention, but admitted, “I don’t think they will have a formal royal function at all.”

“The Prince of Wales has made it clear that he wants a smaller royal family in the future. It’s unlikely that it will be expanded to include the York daughters to aid the royal cause.”

“They’ll make an appearance now and then.” They appear to desire to play a royal role, yet they have full-time jobs outside of royal duties.”
