Netflix has cancelled Archewell Productions’ animated series Pearl because of company-wide cuts. Show, was produced by Duchess Meghan Markle and David Furnish and is still in development.

This joins two other children’s projects cancelled by the streaming service this week. Meghan Markle created the series through Archewell Productions as part of their multi-million dollar partnership with Netflix.

The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry were tasked with developing these scripted series, docuseries, documentaries, features, and children’s programming as part of the arrangement. Archewell’s first animated series was to be called Pearl.

Hundreds of royal enthusiasts were overjoyed when Netflix announced that Meghan Markle’s show will be cancelled.
